Our start

How Digital Online Presence started

Michael Castelo started Digital Online Presence in Hawaii in 2015. That business is still running, and you can visit it at digitalonlinepresence.com.

Hawaii is a good place to learn this work. Small businesses there live on reputation. People know the owner by name, they pass along the number of the crew that did a good job, and they notice when an outside chain moves in. Working for businesses like that teaches you to judge marketing by the phone ringing and customers coming back, not by charts.

The work we point to on this site was done there, for shuttle and limo companies and for home-service businesses. That record is what we brought with us.

Why Seattle

Why we came to Seattle

Michael first came to Seattle to meet his partner, who lived here. On that trip he fell in love twice: with her, and with Washington.

So he made the leap and brought Digital Online Presence here. The business grew, and so did his family, to four boys. Now he wants to help many more businesses grow, starting with yours.

He also found something he already knew from Hawaii: people who take pride in their city and their state, and who would rather hire the local company down the road than a franchise from somewhere else.

That is the kind of business we built this agency around. Owner-run, tied to its neighborhoods, and dependent on nearby customers finding it first. We’re based in Seattle, and we work with businesses across the city, east to Bellevue and south to Kent and Federal Way.

Michael is local. He meets clients in person anywhere in our service area, from Seattle and Bellevue south to Federal Way, so the person planning your marketing is someone you can sit down with.

The way we treat people made the trip too. In Hawaii they call it aloha. Here it simply means doing right by the people who trust you with their business.

Meet Michael Castelo, our founder

Michael founded Digital Online Presence in Hawaii and brought it to Seattle. The reason he started hasn’t changed: helping local businesses grow, counted in calls, bookings and customers who come back. He works with clients in person across the whole area, so you always know who is doing the work.

My natural inclination is serving others – it’s in my genes and personality. That, with a passion for helping businesses grow and succeed, makes for a WIN-WIN situation.

Our work

What we’ve built for businesses like yours

  1. Booking

    For a shuttle company and a limousine company, we built online booking into their own websites. Customers pick their trip and pay with a card, processed by Stripe, without anyone having to phone them back. See how those booking systems work.

  2. Search

    For an airport shuttle company whose pages weren’t showing up on Google, we found the reason and fixed it. Its harbor transfer page is now in Google’s index, and as of September 2026, 15 of its 16 sitemap pages show up in search results.
