Web Design in Seattle: A Website That Books the Job for You

For Seattle-area service businesses that want customers to book, pay or ask for a quote without waiting for a call back.

  • No long-term contract
  • Custom quote
  • Booking and payments built in

After hours

It’s 11:40 on a Sunday night. Someone across Seattle has just realized they need your service this week. They find your website on their phone, pick a day, see the price, pay by card and get a confirmation email before they put the phone down. On Monday morning the job is already on your calendar. No phone tag, and no lost customer because you were busy.

That is what a website should do for a service business. Digital Online Presence does web design in Seattle for owners who want their site to work the hours they can’t: answering questions, showing the work and taking the booking.

  • Booked at midnight.Customers pick a time and pay online.
  • Fewer phone-tag calls.Answers on the page, not in voicemail.
  • Looks like you.A site that matches the work you do.

Outcomes

What changes when your website takes the booking

01

Your calendar fills while you’re out on jobs. A customer who can book and pay on the spot has no reason to go back to the search results. The people who used to wait for a call back, or give up, are already booked.

02

The calls you do get are better ones. Prices, service areas and how to book are on the page, so callers ask about the job, not the basics.

03

And your site finally looks like the business you are. If your crews are tidy and your work is good, your website should say so at a glance, on a phone.

Booking

Online booking and quote forms, built into your site

Plenty of web designers stop at a contact form. We build the step before the phone call: a booking flow where the customer picks the service, the date and the details, sees the price, and pays by card through Stripe. The booking reaches you by email and appears on your Google Calendar, and the customer gets a confirmation right away.

Not every job has a set price, and your site shouldn’t pretend it does. Where your prices are fixed, customers book and pay. Where they aren’t, the same flow becomes a quote request, so a large job still comes in fully described.

Everything is built on WordPress, with booking inside the site, not in a separate app. It works the same for a company based downtown and a crew working out of Kent or Burien: the booking lands on your calendar wherever the van leaves from.

Built right

Fast on a phone, and usable by everyone

Most customers will meet your site on a phone. Google also looks at the mobile version of a site first when it ranks it, as its mobile-first indexing guide explains. So we design for the phone first.

Google measures how quickly a page loads, responds to a tap and settles into place, and calls those measurements Core Web Vitals. A page that shifts while someone is trying to tap “Book now” loses the booking, so we build to keep those numbers healthy.

Accessibility belongs here too. A site that works with a keyboard and a screen reader is easier for every customer, and the Department of Justice publishes guidance on web accessibility under the ADA. Our post on making your website ADA compliant covers the practical side.

How it works

How we build your website

Four steps, and most of the work is ours:

  1. We learn how you take jobs today. What gets booked, what needs a quote, and which calls you’d rather not take.
  2. We design every page around one next step, whether that’s booking, paying or asking for a quote.
  3. We build it on WordPress with payments and quote forms wired in,then test it on real phones.
  4. We watch the first bookings come through after launch,so anything that trips customers up gets fixed.

Pricing

What a website build includes

There are no fixed packages. A typical build covers:

Pricing is a custom quote. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll give you a straight number. No long-term contract.

  • A custom design that matches your business
  • The pages customers look for: services, areas you cover, about and contact
  • Online booking with card payments, a quote request form, or both
  • New bookings sent to you by email and synced to Google Calendar
  • Page titles, descriptions and the search basics every page needs

Booking systems we’ve built

Airport shuttle

An airport shuttle company, Go Waikiki Shuttle, needed to replace the booking system on its WordPress site. We built a new one: the customer chooses a trip, adds flight and hotel details, and pays by card through Stripe. Each booking sends a confirmation email and goes onto the company’s Google Calendar, and customers can book for the same day.

Limousine

For a limousine company, VIP Limo Hawaii, we built a four-step booking flow: service, route, vehicle, checkout. Set-price trips are booked and paid online. Minibuses and motor coaches go to a quote request instead, and booked customers get reminder emails 24 hours and 2 hours before pickup.

How much does a website cost in Seattle?

It depends on how many pages you need and whether you want booking, payments or quote forms built in. We quote each site after a short call, and there’s no long-term contract.

Can customers book and pay on my website?

Yes. Customers choose a service and a time, then pay by card through Stripe. Stripe handles the card details, so they never sit on your website, and its security overview explains how it protects them.

What if my jobs need a quote, not a fixed price?

Then the site asks the right questions instead of showing a price, and the request reaches you with the details you need. Fixed-price work can still book online.

Do you build on WordPress?

Yes. WordPress is widely used and flexible enough to hold booking and quote forms inside the site itself.

Can you redesign my current site instead of starting over?

Yes. We look at what your current site does well and what it’s missing, then decide with you whether to rework or rebuild. If some pages already rank on Google, we keep their addresses or redirect them, so you don’t lose that ground.

Will my new website show up on Google?

We build in what every page needs to be found: fast loading, a layout that works on phones, and clear titles and descriptions. Climbing above competitors takes ongoing work, which is the job of our Seattle SEO service.
